Skipper / Crew Charter

Gulf Charters Thailand offers a range of yacht charter options for those that either do not have the experience to captain a yacht alone or would rather simply take a sailing holiday and leave those duties to the skipper and crew. From our bareboat charter through to our fully provisioned sailing holidays, we can put a package together that will suit your style. Gulf Charters offers the option of hiring a skipper (and/or crew/cook) to manage the yacht. Sometimes even experienced sailors prefer to take along a captain for a few days or for the entire trip. A skipper will help familiarize you with your yacht and equipment, while you relax and do as much boat handling (or as little) as you wish. Having a skipper onboard gives you the advantage of their local knowledge, guiding you to all the best anchorages, restaurants, snorkeling and more. And, in addition to getting the inside scoop on sailing in these islands, you'll likely be entertained by some interesting sea stories!

Boat Plus Crew

If your are short handed or simply would like to have someone along that knows the area and the boat, you can hire a Gulf Charters Crew (Crew needs own bunk) to assist you with running the boat and dealing with local issues. This makes life on board a lot easier, as they can advise you on the local area, have local contacts and can speak Thai. You remain responsible for the safe operation of the yacht and tender as you would during a normal bareboat charter.

Boat Plus Skipper

If you don't have enough experience to sail by yourself, a bareboat holiday isn't out of reach. You can hire a Gulf Charters skipper to take the helm whilst you and your crew enjoy the surroundings (skipper needs own bunk). Your skipper will take care of the day-to-day running of your yacht, leaving you free to swim, snorkel and relax. Call upon your skipper's knowledge of local attractions, restaurants and the most sheltered anchorages.

Boat Plus Instructor

Sailing in a new destination? You can hire an Instructional skipper to join you for any amount of time – maybe a week or two, or even just for a day. Instructional skippers will help you become accustomed with a new yacht or area, advise on sailing tips and answer any questions as you sail .
