International Yachtmaster Training sailing school courses have something for everyone, whether just starting out on yachting or already a capable captain looking for recognized certification. Single Courses
IYT partner school Gulf Charters Thailand offers three IYT recreational sailing courses; Crew, Watchkeeper and Bareboat skipper certificates. In addition we offer our alumni a mile-builder program that gives ongoing access to build offshore cruising experience (see below for details).
These courses are designed to take a student with no knowledge of the sea and sailing through to being a captain of a charter boat or your own vessel. The five day courses are each stand alone with students generally gaining sea time between courses.
We offer courses for those who wish to undergo full time intensive training to take them from 'Zero to Hero'. For this course we accept students with no knowledge of the sea or sailing and expect them to be certified competent captains by the end of the course and with 750 sea miles logged.
Our training area stretches from Pattaya down the 120 miles to the Ko Chang Archipelago consisting of 50 palm tree lined tropical islands. The climate is warm; the water is clean and clear, perfect conditions for learning how to sail.
Gulf Charters offers students the opportunity of sailing on a wide range of yachts from 25ft sport racers to midsize cruising keelboats up to 52ft world cruising catamarans.
